Lot 50-Kanyanyapilla: Bi-Cultural Ecological and Cultural Regeneration

Lot 50-Kanyanyapilla (L50K) is a private, bi-cultural ecological and cultural regeneration project underway since 2015. The 40-acre property near McLaren Vale is an ancient Kaurna campground occupied for several thousand years and a registered Aboriginal heritage site. The regeneration engages Aboriginal and Settler cultural heritage. Archaeological research is ongoing and a significant collection of Aboriginal post-contact artefacts has been located and displayed. The property features a remnant reed swamp, sedge lands and a revegetation program. Over 3,500 seedlings from 40 species have been planted to date.

Cultural presentations daily: Bi-cultural heritage at 11.30am; Archaeology at 2.30pm
