Bungonia Archaeology Open Day

Take a trip to explore the archaeology of the historic town of Bungonia. Start your day with a visit to the History and Archaeology Exhibition at Bungonia Village Hall, and browse the books and history items for sale. Join a guided tour of the historic property MIZPAH, with a stone building dating back to 1839. And follow up with the self-guided History Trail through the village – find the map at the War Memorial in the Bungonia Crown Reserve Parkland on King Street, and explore on foot or by car.

The guided tours of MIZPAH will leave on the hour from the Village Hall. Amenities are available at the Hall, and refreshments will be available for purchase. The Hall is accessible for people using wheelchairs and mobility aids, the tour of MIZPAH is ambulant accessible.

Bungonia is 2 hours from Sydney on the freeway, 1 hour 15 mins from Canberra and 90 mins from the Coast. The Village is a Heritage Conservation Area and the gateway to the iconic Bungonia National Park.
